When deciding relocation cases, Arizona courts consider the factors listed in A.R.S. § 25-408 together with the best-interest factors found in A.R.S. § 25-403. The judge may evaluate:

- Educational, emotional, and medical needs
- Effect of relocation on parenting time
- Whether parenting schedules can preserve the parent-child relationship
- Other factors affecting the child's best interests
